Paula

Flight Training
_
Position
Facilitator / Queen of the Hop
Superpowers
As many of us around TEAM EFFECT, Inc. tend to be, Paula is a storyteller specialist and has plenty of them to go around. She is always ready for another round of Holler Hoppin and has a flare for creating a fun atmosphere for all the groups that join her. She has a very creative mind and a love for the outdoors that shows in her work.
Experience
Paula is currently a student at Indiana University working on a Master’s in Outdoor Recreation and a certificate in therapeutic outdoor programming. She also holds two bachelors degree in psychology and criminal justice. She found her love for challenge courses and facilitation while working at Ramapo for Children, a summer camp for children with emotional and behavioral problems, autism, and other learning disabilities. She has over ten years of experience in the field of behavioral health with adolescents and families in addition to her work as a recreational therapist.
Lesser Known Facts
Paula has worked several oddball jobs in the past including some time as a telemarketer (which makes it easy to say “when do YOU eat dinner” if we ever can’t talk). She grew up as a native to Indiana and was somewhat of a tomboy, following around her brother and his friends to Boy Scout meetings and “showing them up” on occasion. She currently is battling Tyler to be able to claim her dog as the “World’s Best” (though he is the webmaster and has the ability to write what he wants). Keep in mind that she also dresses her dog in ridiculous outfits which can’t be fun for the dog.
