Tyler

No cavities, just termites
Position
Director of Labor & Delivery / Ice Breaker
Superpowers
Tyler is our specialist when it comes to getting groups excited for a great event and has a great amount of creativity to keep things interesting time and time again. He is always offering new and crazy ideas for how to improve our programs or get a laugh from our customers (or ourselves). He also maintains the website and social media marketing for the company so that everyone can keep in touch with their favorite facilitators.
Experience
Despite his seemly young (and charming) looks, he has managed to squeeze in almost fifteen years of ropes course, training and facilitation experience. He has past experience facilitating at multiple YMCAs across the Midwest, Camp Ondessonk in Southern Illinois, and for Northern Illinois Operation Snowball. In 2010 he graduated from Indiana University with a B.A. in Outdoor Recreation and Resource Management but continues to lead trips and instruct for IU Outdoor Adventures in his free time. While at Indiana he won multiple awards including the 2010 School of HPER Undergrad of the Year in Outdoor Recreation, 2009 IUOA L.I.T. of the Year, and 2010 IUOA Trip Leader of the Year.
Lesser Known Facts
Tyler’s past experiences are always a good topic of conversation as he has had experience as a ballroom dance instructor, circus performer, horseback trail guide and flower delivery specialist. His main hobbies include playing multiple bluegrass instruments, watching Chicago sports, and planning his next trip the Quetico Provincial Park in Ontario, Canada.
