Walker

I would walk 500 miles and I would walk 1700ish more.

Facilitator / Project Ninja
Superpowers
Walker is our main source for random knowledge. He’s a great guy to have around for those days when Wikipedia isn’t working or when you are trying to settle a bet with someone. He has MacGyver like skills when it comes to anything that can be called a “gadget”. We often test his abilities by locking him in small spaces with nothing more than a few small items (toothpicks, scotch tape, shoelaces, etc.). It’s incredible really. In addition to his fine technical skills and education he is our leading source of bear hugs.
Experience
Walker was originally certified for High/Low Challenge Course facilitation while working for Discover Outdoor Center at UNC Wilmington in 2005. He also shared his love for the outdoors by leading adventure trips for UNCW until he graduated in 2006 with a business degree in Operations Management. After his graduation he worked as an assistant manager for the Great Outdoor Provision Company in Greensboro, NC before deciding to move to Bloomington in 2010. Once Walker arrived in Bloomington, he quickly cemented his place at not only Team Effect, Inc. but also IU Outdoor Adventures where he still serves as the Senior Gear Specialist, Trip Leader and maintains his status as a Wilderness First Responder.
Lesser Known Facts
When Walker sets his sights on a project, he fully immerses himself in it until the job is done. He has exemplified this in the past by completely restoring a 1973 Jeep from the ground up and hiking the Appalachian Trail, which spans from Georgia to Maine, by himself. He’s also mentioned that he used to race Suburus for fun; however, we think he just likes to drive fast because we’ve never noticed anyone else driving fast with him. Maybe he’s just that good.
